{summary}Since I was acquainted with the developers’ trickery, I was very conscious while looking for real estate agents or developers. During this time, many friends of mine had alerted me before I sought to a developer. However, I came across a developer finally, who appeared to be honest and responsible than the lot.

After I visited the office of the developer he asked be to chose a plan from the drafts he showed me. He gave me all the project drafts he was handling then. Eventually I chose one of the drafts and hired him. However, I was very happy considering that I have found out an honest developer.

Later I visited the site regularly when it was under construction. It is needless to say, my supposed condominium was looking great with all the modern amenities, when it was built. I was happy for not being cheated but my developer was shrewd enough. He had already cut corners, which was not possible to figure out immediately. It is the interior artwork where he used his trickery to make cheap profit. I wanted to design my home with exclusive artwork and also asked the developer accordingly for which he also charged me an extra amount but after taking such a big amount, what did I find? I discovered that the artworks in my home are neither unique nor exclusive. These are the replica of the original things bought from the local market.

I was shocked and there was no use to ask my developer for an explanation. It is great to know that today there is site like developerdispute, which maintains the forum dealing with these issues.

{summary}It is not easy to determine in what way, the developer will cut corners. In the posh cities of USA, such cheatings and the trickery by the developer is an everyday happening. I was a victim of the developers’ shrewd policy when I was new to Washington DC. I was desperately looking for a condominium. After I met my developer in his office I asked him to show me drafts of the buildings. I chose from one of the drafts and hired him. This time I gave him an amount as advance.

After a couple of months my developer handed me my new apartment and I cleared all the installments I am supposed to give him. I shifted and found my apartment beautiful. The furnishings were so impressive that it cast a luxurious view. Even more the ceramic floorings and the wall paintings attracted me most. However, this is not all, there was something left to shock me. In this well-furnished impressive apartment, I discovered that none of the electronic appliances is in good condition. The refrigerator did not start working although I plugged in and in due course, the television, fans etc stopped working.

I asked my developer discovering all such faults in my home but my developer told that according to the deal he was not responsible for any damages after the delivery and to do the work again he demanded an extra amount.

I had no other way but to give him extra money and get my work done.

{summary}Being a victim of the developers cutting corners, I can understand how much useful it is to check every home appliances that the developer is fitting while building the condominium. It’s been a year when we were shifted to Boston and my father was urgently looking for a condominium. Luckily, we came across a developer and we did not need to bother much for getting a developer in this new city.

After we met him, he chalked out a plan for us. He also accepted a good amount as advance assuring us that he will provide us a luxurious condominium with all modern furnishings.

After paying off the full amount, we shifted in our new apartment, where a number of surprises were waiting for us. First thing , which one I should mention at the first is that the plug points were not working. Secondly, the developer has not provided with dishwasher, convection oven, microwave and not even a refrigerator. Moreover, he had also cut corners in fitting the furniture in the apartment. After discovering all these, my father was shattered completely for he had spent his hard-earned money in owning this apartment.

Although we sought help from the developer, at that time did not help us and we had to hire engineer, electrician from outside to get all our work done thoroughly which also claimed a good amount from my father’s pocket.

{summary}Shrewd developers won’t let any chance slip away if it an opportunity of Cutting Corners and making profit. This is an everyday happening in the posh cities like New York, Washington, California etc. Developers are so shrewd that before they hand you the project completely will never let you know that they from where and how they are cutting corners and you will not understand, while signing the deal that the developer is a tricky one. They made all sorts of promises to convince you. I am saying this from my experience as I have suffered badly once.

When I was in the city for California, I was desperately searching for a developer who will help me in getting a new , luxurious condominium. However, I did not require spending much time in finding out a developer. The developer appeared to be a very nice person. On the very first day of our meeting, he showed me the drafts of the buildings under construction. I chose from one of them as I was in hurry. It is s needless to say that the drafts of the under construction buildings were also impressive.

After a couple of months, I shifted in the new place and the first thing I pointed out is that the developer has not provided AC in any of the rooms. Including that, there are some other things, where also he has cut corners. To make the situation worse he did not even provide us with cooking utensils. I was shocked to find out all sorts of problems in it because I have paid the developer a good amount. I contacted him as soon as possible but he did not meet me saying that he is not bound to take up the responsibilities of getting things done after the delivery of the condominium.

I had no other way in front of me but to contact an engineer from outside to get the things done and buying the utensils from outside.

{summary}We came across our developer via a newspaper ad. Since we were new to the city, we did not have much contact. As a result, we were seemingly very dependent on the developer from the very beginning. After we hire him, he planned a draft for us. My husband especially liked it and hired him at that very moment. Moreover, we also paid them a good amount as advance.

After we shifted there, I was shocked to see that developer has cut corners by fitting the rusty and corroded furniture. I was confused and could not understand what to do. I contacted my developer immediately and after a number of bitter confrontations, my developer finally agreed to replace the furniture, but he demanded a big amount to get our work done. As we do not have much contact, we have no other way but to give him more money and get our work done.

In due course, he did my work in exchange of another big amount. Today I can say about my problems through developerdispute .com, but at that time, there was nothing like that, nor do I have any contacts. I was cheated and paid the developer for the work, which was never done.

{summary}It is my friend , who showed me how much tactful the developer was in cutting corners. Two years back, I came to the New York City and was in search of a condominium. During that time I met a developer in a get together who sketched a plan for me which I liked truly. While I hire him for getting me a condominium, I asked him for a broad and expanding balcony so that I can have the view of the city properly.

Although he demanded much longer period than usual yet I did not hesitate because in any way I want the value of my money. After a period of long six months, I shifted to my new house and found that the designing and furnishing of the house were impressive. The balcony about which I was fastidious also seemed fine. Everything would have gone fine unless my friend pointed out that the balcony is smaller than the average size and to appear it look bigger my developer has fitted all the furnishings thoughtfully. Probing deep into this I also discovered the fact and find out that all the rooms in the apartment are smaller than the average size.

However, I am not only the victim of such problems. It happens every now and then with the innocent buyers. There are many website forums, which deal with such kinds of things, but buyers should be careful regarding these issues before owning a condominium.

{summary}When I was in hurry for owning a condominium in New York city my developer cheated me. After staying a number of years in the studio apartment, I wanted to spend my retired life a bit comfortably in a luxurious condominium. Since I did not have much idea about the developers, I sought help from one of my friends and he took me to a developer. The developer was handling a number of projects at that time. I was in hurry and on that very day I chose from the drafts, which he showed me.

After a couple of months when I shifted to my new house I was extremely happy . It’s needless to say that apparently it was looking too good and luxurious. However, there were many things, which were enough to shatter a person. What is that? I have discovered that my developer had not created fireplaces in any of the rooms and had tried small misdeeds, which will not be visible.I was shattered when discover that how very tactfully my developer has cut corners.

I called up my developer but he denied to help me out saying that in the deal there was nothing said about the responsibility of the developer after the delivery of the project. In addition, I had to hire engineer from outside spending more money.

{summary}One of my ex-colleague introduced me with a developer, when I was desperately looking for a condominium in Los Angeles. Since the developer was known to my colleague, I did not take much pains to determine whether the developer is fraud or not. In addition, I was in hurry and asked the developer to show me a draft at the very first day we met. He showed me the plan of a renovated house, which he was handling then. The draft was impressive and hire him at once and settled all the pricing including his fees.

A couple of months he took to get me the condominium. The house was decorated with the modern furnishings with other amenities. However, my developer did not let any opportunity slip away to cut corners. He provided us with short chimneys, which was not sufficient to penetrate away the smoke and could be a potential fire hazard. Moreover, he did not provide any exhaust fans through which the filth and smoke could penetrate away. I was shocked discovering that how wisely the developer had cut corners. I asked my developer to get those things repaired but he asked for extra payment.

Later I paid him extra amount to get those chimneys replaced with good one. It’s great that today I can say that what happened with me, but at that time, I had to pay for undone work.

{summary}I would have been unaware of the fact how cruelly the developer are prone to cut corners unless I were a victim. In spite of getting a good amount of money from the buyers, they do not even bother to return them the value of their money. Some years back, when I was completely new to California and was desperately looking for owning a condominium here, I came across a developer, who drafted some plans for my suppose apartment. He appeared so honest and responsible I come by his words and invest money in owning a condominium from him.

After 3 months, the developer handed me the condominium as he promised and I was shifted to my newly built condominium and it was truly awesome. I liked the finishing and the furnishing also. Everything was fine until the rainy season, when I discovered that my ceiling is built very loosely. Due to lose built, the rainwater seeped from it and consequently the roof was corroded. My developer denied for repairing it and finally I have to spend extra to get the entire work of ceiling done again.

Later I came across your site where I can voice out these problems, but there was none to help me, not even my developer, when I passed several days in such a wretched condition.

{summary}In search of a prospective career, I shifted to New York. Although I was living in a studio apartment in the city initially, yet I was on the lookout of a condominium from the very beginning. Since I wanted to lead a classy and aristocratic lifestyle, I was extremely in need of a big condominium. However, after a prolonged process I came across a developer, who was handling some big projects at that time.

The draft, which my developer showed me was impressive. It is especially due to well-furnished room and all modern amenities; the building was looking more attractive. I did not wait and fixed the deal with the developer. After a couple of months, I shifted into my new condominium. Everything seemed so perfect that I was happy. The rooms, the furnishings, tiles, floorings etc were truly beautiful but the situation was a bit grave. I discovered finally where the developer had tried to cut corner. The entrance door appears problematic. Quite a few days later, the other doors were having the same problem and one of them appeared completely broken. I understood that the developer has just fitted it loosely.

Although I contacted the developer, he refused to take the responsibility. Later I got my doors repaired by hiring an engineer, which charged a good amount.
